Hi
I am thinking of trying out Unyk. But I’m wondering if you will spam all my contacts to join as well (I’ve had some earlier bad experience with another similar service)
Also how secure will my data be?
September 24, 2009 at 6:04 pm
Hi,
I would like to reassure you that UNYK does not send any e-mails without the user’s knowledge. If your contacts receive e-mails from UNYK, they are invitations that you have initiated, i.e., e-mails related to the use of the service.
Concerning the security issue, it is important for us to mention that UNYK is a licensee of the TRUSTe Privacy Program. For more information you can go to http://www.truste.org/consumers/watchdog_complaint.php.
Thank you,
Adrien, marketing service

How Can Mobile Synchronize Through Yur Sms ???
February 9, 2009 at 3:13 pm
Payal,
Thank you for your interest in our new service…
For the moment, the service of mobile synchronization has been launched in beta and we offer users to test it for free. But in a few weeks, this service will cost around 3USD per month. It’s very interesting, because it allows you to back-up your mobile contacts in 2 clicks, and to integrate all your web contacts in your mobile phone, in 2 clicks as well.
I look forward to have your feedback on it!
Best regards,
Karine, dir. marketing

Arham,
The technology that we use allows us to send you the settings by SMS (no application to download). Also, the synchronization is activated in one click on your mobile, and happens over the air.
Try it and give us some feedback!
Best regards, Karine

Since cyncronization is offered free of cost today, Would i be notified once it becomes paid service as stated in the site. Is my approval essential to continue/stop with the service offered after it becomes paid one?????How will you recieve subscription amount … from mobile service provider or what?????
March 31, 2009 at 6:30 pm
Muqeem,
Do not worry, you will be notified when the service becomes a paying service. You will then have 2 payment options: by credit card or on your phone bill. In the meantime, do not hesitate to test the service (free) and give us your feedback!

When I try to edit my sync profile to set the contacts/calender/notes to YES it asks for remote database…what values are to be entered there?
September 24, 2009 at 6:22 pm
Hi,
UNYK doesn’t sync with calendar and Notes for the moment. You should enable these options in order to make it work.
UNYK concentrates its efforts on offering you a universal address book so that you will always have the same contacts in all your platforms (hotmail, Gmail, Outlook, unyk).
Thank you,
Adrien, marketing service

I have more than 1350 in Unyk and over 830 in my Nokia 6230 mobile, most of them not in Unyk yet, but you have a 500 limit for synchro. Can I safely test the feature without risking my mobile contacts to be erased?

I have a blackberry 8330 on US cellular service that when I try and sync keeps giving me a message that your site is behind a firewall.

Hi Damion,
This might be due to a problem with your authorization access level. Please, review this with your system admin manager.
Thanks,

I am not able to sync my contacts in UNYK to my mobile. My mobile was formatted. Tell me how to get my contacts at UNYK to my cell phone. I have 2223 phone number contacts at UNYK
October 30, 2009 at 6:40 pm
Hi,
Yes, you can sync your mobile with UNYK and recover all your contacts. But the limit is 2000 contacts.
I suggest you to use the duplicate manager tool in your address book to reduce this number under 2000.
After, just choose your model in the sync page and follow the procedures.
Thanks,
Adrien, from UNYK marketing
